An Evening of Murder & Fine Dining at Tolethorpe Hall

This autumn, Tolethorpe Hall swaps Shakespeare for something more sinister.

Red Herring Rutland and Uncovered Events are bringing three nights of murder to the home of Stamford's famous open-air theatre. Each evening starts with a welcome drink and canapé, moves through a three-course dinner cooked by an award-winning private chef, and ends when you unmask the killer. If you can.

Every night is a different mystery, played out live around your tables by our actors. You watch, you question, you accuse. Someone at dinner is lying to you. Work out who before pudding goes cold.

Tickets are £75 per person and sold directly by Tolethorpe Hall. Over-18s only.

Questions people ask

Do I have to act?

No. Our actors do the performing. Your job is dinner, drinks and detective work. Question the suspects as much or as little as you like.

Can I come as a couple, or does it need a group?

Both work. Book two tickets or twenty. Bigger groups should mention it when booking so Tolethorpe can seat everyone together where possible.

Should I dress up?

Only if you want to. Some guests go full 1920s for Christie Manor or sequins for Strictly Come Murder!, and we love them for it. Smart casual is just as welcome.

What if my night sells out?

Tell us. If Saturdays fill, we can add Friday performances. Message us or watch our Facebook page for extra dates.

Three nights. Three mysteries. One very good dinner each time.

Fancy the murder mystery without the venue? We bring the whole thing to your party, your office or your dining room. our hosted experiences. And if you want the dinner side at home too, our partners at Uncovered Events cook it.
